I had all intentions of sharing it shortly after setting it up, but with the holidays I kept putting it off and now here we are 5 months later haha. We can also replace any piece at any time for any reason. This sectional is literally something I can see us having forever.
Well one year later & way too many pieces are broken & need to be replaced. The price for replacement is way too much. Might as well buy a whole new couch for that price & never have to deal with this piece of crap again. The unfinished wood leaves dust & wood chips all over & splinters in the cushions.
Quality and customer service
We just went back to the website and ordered the one extra piece. If we ever want to change or reconfigure the layout, each piece can be unattached from it’s neighbor and rearranged as we see fit. It’s 100% customizable to your exact needs.
I think the cost was slightly higher for a custom order which is why I decided to just go the blanket route haha. Other than that, I still find it quite comfortable to lay out on a daily basis. Archetype Quartz and Archetype Hemp have a nice classic linen texture, while Maltese Taupe and Maltese Flax have a softer texture. I kept them in the room for a few days and paid close attention to how they looked during different times of day. After much debate we chose Archetype Quartz since it was the perfect blend of brown and gray.
It was hipped very quickly and I surprised to receive it as soon as I did. Overall, I am very happy with this sectional despite my family’s desire to have big brown back up here haha! Fortunately for them that has moved to the basement so they can still enjoy it down there.
I was concerned about that but have been pleasantly surprised. If you have tall people that will be using it, they might not find it too comfy, simply because of the lack of cushion depth . But as far as the actual cushion comfort, 2 thumbs up. And it’s custom to the exact size and configuration that we need. I really can’t think of any downsides to it.
I try my darndest to buy from the small shops or local businesses when see fit. Supporting them is something our family is very passionate about. Home Reserve uses all raw materials from within the USA! They oversee all of the supply chain and know where everything is from.
When you sit on it you feel like your sitting in a chair because the base is so short. It’s impossible to even lay down on it because as an adult you will just not fit. The cushions have held up wonderfully, no sagging or compression.
The only other downside I’ve noticed so far is that the fabric we chose attracts our pets’ fur, so we have to be a little diligent in pulling that off at least once a week. It’s worse in the warmer months, but that’s to be expected. Before I get in to the details on just what it takes to get one of these sectionals/sofas, I want to tell you some of the features that got us excited. Also, as a disclaimer, I’m not being compensated for this post, I just really like my new sofa and wanted to share.
For us we stuck with our original, but when our order came, one of the pieces got damaged in transit. Customer service was phenomenal- they not only arranged to ship to us, but even held the shipping by a few days so it wouldn't arrive when we were out of town. The only thing I don't love about it is the depth, it could be deeper. We don't find it uncomfortable at all. Even after all these years, the cushions have held up, there's no sagging or compressed foam.
Had we known, we probably would not have made the purchase even though I love the idea of washable covers. Secondly, it arrived with missing pieces. We were on a tight time crunch because our house is a vacation rental and it all had to be done in a matter of days. Thirdly, I don't think the couch is all that comfortable. I feel like I'm sitting on a couch in a doctor's office.
