We just went back to the website and ordered the one extra piece. If we ever want to change or reconfigure the layout, each piece can be unattached from it’s neighbor and rearranged as we see fit. It’s 100% customizable to your exact needs.

I think the cost was slightly higher for a custom order which is why I decided to just go the blanket route haha. Other than that, I still find it quite comfortable to lay out on a daily basis. Archetype Quartz and Archetype Hemp have a nice classic linen texture, while Maltese Taupe and Maltese Flax have a softer texture. I kept them in the room for a few days and paid close attention to how they looked during different times of day. After much debate we chose Archetype Quartz since it was the perfect blend of brown and gray.

It was hipped very quickly and I surprised to receive it as soon as I did. Overall, I am very happy with this sectional despite my family’s desire to have big brown back up here haha! Fortunately for them that has moved to the basement so they can still enjoy it down there.

I was concerned about that but have been pleasantly surprised. If you have tall people that will be using it, they might not find it too comfy, simply because of the lack of cushion depth . But as far as the actual cushion comfort, 2 thumbs up. And it’s custom to the exact size and configuration that we need. I really can’t think of any downsides to it.

When you sit on it you feel like your sitting in a chair because the base is so short. It’s impossible to even lay down on it because as an adult you will just not fit. The cushions have held up wonderfully, no sagging or compression.

The only other downside I’ve noticed so far is that the fabric we chose attracts our pets’ fur, so we have to be a little diligent in pulling that off at least once a week. It’s worse in the warmer months, but that’s to be expected. Before I get in to the details on just what it takes to get one of these sectionals/sofas, I want to tell you some of the features that got us excited. Also, as a disclaimer, I’m not being compensated for this post, I just really like my new sofa and wanted to share.

For us we stuck with our original, but when our order came, one of the pieces got damaged in transit. Customer service was phenomenal- they not only arranged to ship to us, but even held the shipping by a few days so it wouldn't arrive when we were out of town. The only thing I don't love about it is the depth, it could be deeper. We don't find it uncomfortable at all. Even after all these years, the cushions have held up, there's no sagging or compressed foam.

Had we known, we probably would not have made the purchase even though I love the idea of washable covers. Secondly, it arrived with missing pieces. We were on a tight time crunch because our house is a vacation rental and it all had to be done in a matter of days. Thirdly, I don't think the couch is all that comfortable. One of the sections arrived with one piece that was broken in shipping--I contacted customer service and the response was unbelievably speedy. We had a replacement piece in hand in less than a week! The assembly instructions were very thorough, the storage space is wonderful, and it's so nice to be able to configure it exactly to how we like it and our living room space. A SOLID COMPANY. A SOLID WARRANTY. A SOLID PRODUCT. We love our new couch. We purchased it from a family who was moving and the warranty transferred to us without any question.

Third, when picking my couch, they answered every question I have clearly and quickly. After getting through the first piece, we quickly formed a chain of command and flew through the remaining pieces. We love the color, material, and built in storage. Our previous sofa/loveseat combo was dark leather that had big puffy arms and cushions. Very comfy, but also pretty cumbersome in our small space, and the dark color really made the room look darker than I wanted it, so we decided tpo look for new options. Also, there was only seating for 5, which is the exact number of people in our family. If we had guests over, people were sitting on ottomans, dining room chairs, or an extra chair we had moved into the room.

The storage space inside really helps keep the clutter down and hides our extra blankets and pillows. It’s sturdy and compact sonic fits in our house without taking up a lot of room. Very comfortable and I enjoy sitting on it to relax.

Comfortable, clean and storage

I did already test the pet care fabric to see if liquids are repelled and they definitely are. The cat also felt the need to double-test the fabric and all was well. I’m thinking I will need to update this post in a year to share how well everything holds up and thoughts on Home Reserve ownership for the long haul. We purchased a large Laney Sectional and absolutely love it! We have a cat and a dog, so being able to wash the fabric and easily take it off and on is one of the reasons we love our furniture. Home Reserve furniture has been the best purchase and our family enjoys it daily.

It takes about a hour to assemble each piece, so its a full day of assembly....wasn't mentioned in the marketing. Also the pilot holes in 1/3 of the furniture were not there...and without a jig..its difficult to get lined up. Not a bad product, but I paid a lot for the frustration. I ordered this at first, since I figured it would be the last couch I buy. If kids or dog stained or broke it, I could just replace those pieces & not the entire thing.
